In October 2009, after a 3 ½ month closure and a $1million renovation project, Falcon’s Fire reopened.  The renovations include new greens, which were resurfaced with TifEagle variety of turf – an ultradwarf Bermuda grass – providing golfers with faster, smoother putting conditions.  Additional refinements to the course included the reshaping of bunkers and installing an improved greens irrigation and drainage system.  In addition, the overseeding of the entire golf course has been completed and it is in pristine condition for the season.  In late 2010, a major renovation to the Clubhouse will hopefully take place, adding another $350,000 to the enhancement totals.

Among Falcon's Fire's recognitions and achievements are a Four Star Award from Golf Digest, “Florida’s 50 Finest Golf Courses” by Golf & Travel and “America’s Top 15 Women Friendly Courses” by Golf for Women. Additionally, Falcon’s Fire hosted the Senior PGA Tour Regional Finals, and the Buick Scramble National Finals in years past.
